Is Cheerleading a Sport

Is cheerleading a sport?  A lot of people will argue  that cheerleading is not a sport but when in reality it has more injuries then gymnastics it takes a lot to be a cheerleader mental/physical power half the people who say “cheer isn’t a sport” couldn’t do what we do not anyone could just go out on the matt and  toss round off  backhand spring or a full layout it’s not easy  it takes an emotional toll on you to like getting cut from a team is so hard cheerleading takes dedication and time to become a good athlete. I would love to see some people try and do what we do, high school cheerleading is so stressful on us because we have to keep our grades go to practice 5 days a week for 2/3 hrs 5:30 to 7/8:30 then go home shower eat dinner and be up till 11 doing homework that’s due for that day when all stars just have practice 3 days a week they have longer hrs but we all still compete so there isn’t a difference between us. They only have to learn 1 routine for their whole season we as high school cheerleaders have to learn cheers rounding for competition sideline dances and a half time routine...in my personal opinion high school cheer is more demanding memory wise then all star...It’s not easy to pay for either all the expenses of it are hard on families also.
Cheerleading takes a toll on your social life also during your season you have little to no time for friends and that’s hard cause  personally I couldn’t live without my friends always being there and I always feel bad  not being able to give them the time they need.
